Food For The Poor is partnering with World Food Program USA to help sustain and expand nutritious school feeding programs, working with in-country partner, United Nations World Food Programme, in El Salvador.
In the Sonsonate Department of El Salvador, thousands of children face the daily reality of malnutrition.
Currently, 14% of children aged 6 to 59 months are affected by chronic malnutrition, and 25% of children under 5 are struggling with anemia.
School meals stand out as a pivotal strategy. Through them, not only can children enhance their well-being, but they also gain improved learning capabilities, broadening their educational opportunities.
