I am blessed with a wife with over 40 years of marriage.
We have 3 wonderful daughters, two son-in-laws and 2 grandsons.
I have been Blessed with an agribusiness that helps cattle feeders protect EQUITY by Managing Risk.

CattleHedging wants to provide an OUTREACH for other families!

Would you help us continue to build homes for the poorest of the poor?

I have so much to be thankful for so I believe it is good to pass on God's blessing He has given my family!

Thank you,
Larry Hicks

Kalyn and David building a home in Jamaica!

On November 2011, Myself, Kalyn Diamond (one of CH.com's past brokers) and David Fox (son-in-law and owner of Fox Designs - building CattleHedging's website) went with Fr. Tony Palazzolo to Jamaica for a week to build two homes and feed and help the poor.

During my visit to Jamaica, I was able to see firsthand the deplorable living conditions of the poorest of the poor. Every day I saw Mothers scrambling to feed and put a roof over their children. They cling to every bit of hope, not for accomplishment or success, but for survival.
A home will give dignity to poor families and renew their hope as well as have an impact for generations to come, not to mention a permanent address, which will drastically improve their possibilities for employment.

Our goal is to give the financial resources needed to provide families in Jamaica with new, sturdy, and dry double-unit homes.  Food For The Poor currently has a DOUBLE match, which will quadruple the gift of a house. Please partner with me to continue to bless families with brand new houses.

Each $3,200 that we collect, will become $12,800 with the match, allowing us to build 2 double unit homes with a personal sanitation unit and a household water component.

Our efforts so far have brought in:

Total Number of Gifts: 13
Total Value of Gifts: $15,265.00

Let’s see if we can double this effort and build even more homes for families in need!

Over 95% of your donation goes actually to helping families.
Food for the Poor Administrative costs have been running under 4% of monies donated!
I like this and think you would appreciate that you are really helping other families!

Thank you!

About Food For The Poor

Since its inception in 1982, Food For The Poor has been serving the poorest of the poor in 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Thanks to faithful donors, Food For The Poor's programs provide housing, clean water, education, micro-enterprise initiatives, healthcare, and emergency relief in addition to feeding hundreds of thousands of people each day.

Collectively, Food For The Poor has raised over $11 billion in aid, more than half of which was provided in the last five years, and has built more than 91,000 housing units for the destitute. The best part? Total administrative costs have remained under 5%, which means that more than 95% of all donations go directly to programs that help those in desperate need.
