Support Vital Projects in Latin America and the Caribbean – Your Donation Makes a Difference!

Transforming Lives

At Food For The Poor, we are guided by our mission to serve the poor in 15 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our vision is to foster hope and transform lives by providing essential resources such as food, housing, healthcare, and education. We know that when children have access to essential resources such as nutritious food, stable housing, and education, they can thrive and contribute positively to their communities.

Our goal is to raise $200,000 to support projects that align with our mission in food, education, water, and housing.

Below are some projects in need of your support:

A Story of Healing:
Our Lady of the Poor Clinic

In late 2024, Bernard Mevs Hospital was forced to vacate its primary facility after it sustained significant damage due to widespread gang violence and looting. Its main building and auxiliary facility were destroyed, resulting in the loss of essential departments such as the ICU, CT scanner, radiology unit and outpatient clinics.

The Our Lady of the Poor Clinic 2025 project will help provide vital, lifesaving healthcare services for six months to approximately 1,000 patients in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

Your gift will provide monthly financial support and essential medical supplies to ensure the clinic’s continued healthcare services until a new, permanent location is secured.

Others, like young Sheyla, are waiting for a second chance at life. And many parents are praying for compassionate care in their child’s final moments. With your support, Food For The Poor’s Healthcare Benevolent Program provides emergency surgeries, hospital equipment, mobility aids, and end-of-life care to those with no other options.

You can be the answer to a prayer. 🙏 Make a powerful difference in someone’s life through your compassionate gift today.

A Story of Transformation:
Safe Water for Choluteca, Honduras

In Choluteca, clean water is a scarce and precious resource. Thousands of families rely on unsafe water sources, leading to preventable diseases and poor sanitation.

Without access to clean water, children suffer, communities struggle, and opportunities remain out of reach. Through this project, we will provide sustainable drinking water solutions for 27,200 people across 56 communities. New and rehabilitated water systems, hygiene education, and church-led community programs will empower families to build a healthier future.

This is more than just a water project—it’s a chance to transform entire communities. You can be the reason a child has safe drinking water. Give today.

A Story of Possibility:
Keeping Hope Alive Through Education in Haiti

In the village of Petites Desdunes, children dream of learning—but poverty, drought, and hunger often force those dreams to fade. Their parents, already struggling to put food on the table, simply can’t afford to send them to school.

The Bev Flaherty School of Love and Hope is more than just a school. It’s a lifeline. It’s a place where children are safe, encouraged, and equipped to build a better future—where they’re kept out of gangs and given the chance to become students, not statistics.

But this mission can’t continue without compassionate people like you.

Your support helps keep classroom doors open and dreams alive. It ensures children have teachers who believe in them, warm meals to fuel their minds, and the dignity of an education. You're not just helping cover school costs—you’re transforming lives and rewriting futures.
